Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has been organising its flagship event “Surface & Coating Expo” since 2014. Over the years, the event has evolved as India's Largest and Exclusive Event Focused on Surface Engineering, Preparation, Coatings, Finishing, Corrosion Protection, Environmental Engineering and Technologies, under the guidance of a strong industry-led Steering Committee.
South India has established itself as a gateway of the Country with large manufacturing hub for Automobile, Auto-components, Petroleum, Chemical, Steel, Sugar, Cement, Power, Electronics, Heavy Engineering and Engineering products at various industrial clusters. Surface Coating plays an important role in any product manufacturing in terms of improvement in aesthetics, life of products and in some case performance. Also, a better surface coating reduces the corrosion which otherwise results in huge losses on terms of material and manpower.
Understanding the importance and need for surface preparation, treatment and coating in some or the other forms, CII has conceptualized this initiative to benefit various industrial sectors. With three successful editions, the Surface & Coating Expo had received an overwhelming response from the stakeholders of the industry across the globe. It had also attracted International participation from China, Denmark, France, Italy, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Turkey & USA.
The global industrial coatings market size was valued at USD 83.03 billion in 2021 and is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 3.5% from 2022 to 2030. The Asia Pacific dominated the market in 2022 and accounted for the largest share of over 45.0% of the global revenue. Rapid industrialization and growing product demand from the automotive and vehicle refinish sectors in countries, such as India, Japan, and South Korea, are expected to drive the market during the forecast period.
The Indian paints and coatings market is expected to reach around USD 7,645 million by the end of this year, and it is expected to register a CAGR of more than 7% during the forecast period of 2022-2027. The decorative paint category constitutes almost 75% of the overall market and the industrial paint category constitutes the balance of 25% of the paint market.
Given this background, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organising the 4th edition of “Surface & Coating Expo” (SCE2023) - India's Largest and Exclusive Event Focused on Surface Engineering, Preparation, Coatings, Finishing, Corrosion Protection, Environmental Engineering and Technologies. The SCE2023 is scheduled from 29th June to 1st July 2023, at Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai, India.
This 3-Day Exhibition and Conference would set a platform for all the stakeholders of the Surface Coating Industry - manufacturers, distributors, solution providers, traders, end users and policy makers across the globe to meet, network, interact and establish new opportunities. International Conferences and Certified Training Course will be organised along with the Exhibition.
The 4th edition of the “Technology Conference and Exhibition on Electroplating” (TCEE2023) will be organized concurrently with SCE2023. This event will showcase the state of art technology, trends, and latest developments in the Electroplating Industry.
The 2nd edition of “AutoMatFab Expo” will focus on the materials, fabrication & manufacturing technologies and solutions for the procedures involved in Automobile Fabrication and Sheet Metal Work. This will complement with the SCE2023.
CII is organising its 2nd edition of “Adhesives and Sealants - Summit & Expo” concurrently with SCE2023. This initiative will provide a platform to showcase on the latest trends, innovations, sustainability and technological advances and will also connect the bonding technology providers like Adhesive, Sealants, raw material, processing equipment, software, dispensing systems, consulting services, manufacturer / formulator and testing equipment with the end stakeholders across the country and globe.
